This is for the pilgrims in the valley of progress. The cross we carry can be painful at times. Words spoken with candor about how hard life can be are not enemies to faith. The church shouldn’t hide from what is hard; to do so is a lie of omission. We should strive to be genuine people. We don’t claim to be good; only to know the one who is.
